We launched our reading and writing platform just over a year ago way back in 2024. In that time we’ve had over 6,000 users join our reading and writing community. Lots of stories, tons of feedback, and best of all, all sorts of fun things to decorate your library with.

How does StoryForge work?
Write your story. Choose when and how to share it with readers. Want to share it with a circle of friends? You can do that. Want to share it with the entire writing community? You can do that too. Or keep it private until you’re ready.
Get your reader feedback. Readers can leave feedback not only at the end of your story but they can highlight and respond to individual words, sentences, and paragraphs. You can understand exactly what and why a reader likes or doesn’t like. Then make your edits and wait for the next round of feedback.
Every step you take in your process, from writing the first sentence to sharing your work with a reader, moves your progress bar and helps you gain XP, trophies, and rewards
Along the way, you can hang out with our mascot, Draft the Cat, or other pets of your choosing in a library you can furnish to your liking. Desks, couches, walls, and more. Make it fit the vibe of your story or whatever suits your fancy using Quills that you earn just by doing things you were already going to do like reading someone else’s story.
All of that leads up to the ultimate goal: publishing a book.

Our co-founder is a writer who personally experienced the frustrations of the outdated publishing world. She knew there had to be another way to polish her work, and StoryForge was born. StoryForge is for anyone with a story to tell who would like to one day be published.
Great ideas are distributed evenly. The opportunity to grow them into great stories isn’t.

How hard is it to publish a book? Well, the publishing industry is overwhelmed.
With far too many submissions and an influx of AI stories and publishers, there are not enough editors and agents and many amazing works never get to readers. Publishers only accept the stories they believe will sell, which means they don’t like taking risks on new authors or genre-breaking ideas. Creative writers can spend years sending hundreds of submissions to editors, yet they receive only a few responses in return. Worse yet, the response is usually to change the story so it is what the publishers think will sell. The writer is then left to decide whether to stick to their vision or make the changes to potentially get published.
Nobody deserves to have to make that choice.
StoryForge was created to change the system. On our writing website, you can motivate yourself with daily challenges and rewards. Or you can get support through a Writer’s Circle. Wherever you are in your story, you can find readers who are interested and excited to provide helpful feedback. Best of all, you always know how far you are from publication. There’s a progress bar! As your story reaches its final polished form, you will already have a community of loving fans. Now you’re ready to publish successfully.
