The StoryForge Mission

Publishers reject writing - it’s what they do.

They reject the amazing stories, the okay stories, and the straight-up bad stories. But they don’t tell you which one yours is. They don’t tell you what would’ve made it that little bit better to get a second glance. They don’t have the time to. But we do.

StoryForge was created to change the system. Feedback that’s finally easy to get. Stories that show all the time and effort spent on them. Every revision, every difficult critique matched by rewards and trophies. Best of all, you always know how far you are from publication. Every step you take in your process, from writing the first sentence to sharing your work with a reader, helps you gain XP, trophies, and rewards. As your story reaches its final polished form, you will already have a community of loving fans. As you level up, you can create your own cozy library to work in, can unlock rewards and level up, and are guided every step of the way by our friendly mascot, Draft the Cat.

Draft the Cat, surrounded by fire saying "This is fine"

After years of work, Sabrina Rucker decided to publish her graphic novel. She didn’t realize that writing was the easy part. Rejection after rejection was beyond frustrating, it was soul-crushing. Was her work that bad? Was she? And if her work sucked, she didn’t know what to change.

StoryForge is her answer to a broken system. The feedback is finally easy to get. Stories that show all the time and effort spent on them. Every revision, every difficult critique matched by rewards and trophies. And throughout it all, a virtual library and pet personalized to each writer.

At StoryForge, our mission is to provide an inclusive space for people from all walks of life to share their stories and ideas with others around the world.

AT ITS HEART, STORYFORGE IS ABOUT CREATING A COMMUNITY.

The communities on StoryForge help writers get feedback so that they can continue on their journey to being the best writer they can be – and if they so choose, a published author as well.

When it comes to publishing, we want to publish anything that you feel you’re ready to put out into the public space once it reaches Legendary status. Our opinions around publishing your work aren’t going to change if you’ve written a tried and true formulaic love story or a genre-busting cozy science fiction epic. If you want to publish a book, we’re going to help you do it.
