Lost the Plot?
A StoryForge Circle dedicated to discussing story structure, including tips for non-plotters and those struggling (or blessed) with ADHD.
Plan. Plot. Prioritize. Proceed!
Feeling a little lost when trying to organize your story? Have some great tips for those who love, or even hate, to plan? Come swap ideas on structure, offer thoughts on outlines, and perfect your pacing in an all new Storyforge Circle!
I’m a huge fan of plotting. I’m talking about elaborate spreadsheets, or notecards, or charts connecting all my characters. Lining up the big moments in a way that keeps the flow in place. Building to cliffhangers and payoffs.
But I know I’m not the only one, and my way is hardly the only one. I want to talk to you. To learn how you assemble a story. So maybe together we can find the best route to connect that killer opening with that amazing finale. Ah, the middle! Why is it so long?
Each of us approach plotting and structure with a different lens. And that’s where the value of this conversation really kicks in! Bring your ideas, no matter how unusual. Bring your questions, no matter how simple they seem.
As a group, we can share our situations and provide actual, realistic support. I’m happy to open that door: I’ll be sharing an Eight Act Structure for anyone who would like to see it / borrow it / perfect it / fix it.
But I’ll also be holding that door open for you. I want to hear how you plan, or in some cases, how you don’t. Get in here already!
